What Is Included
For Southern California charters, every booking includes the vessel, captain, and crew. Fuel, port fees, and planning coordination are included in your quoted price. Provisions, water toys, and shore excursions are quoted separately.
For international charters, pricing follows the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) basis — typically 25 to 35 percent of the base charter fee, covering all running expenses during the voyage.

What is the maximum number of passengers?
Our Southern California fleet accommodates groups from 2 to 150 guests depending on the vessel. Intimate day charters typically accommodate 2–12 guests on vessels up to 75 feet, while our larger superyachts and event vessels accommodate 50–150 guests for corporate events and private celebrations. Global superyacht charters are configured based on the selected vessel and itinerary — our specialists will match the right yacht to your group size and vision.
What is included in a private yacht charter and what costs extra?
For Southern California charters, every booking through Private Pathways includes the vessel, captain, and crew for the duration of your charter. Fuel, port fees, and our planning and coordination are included in your quoted price — there are no surprise line items after the fact. What typically falls outside the base charter are provisions: food, beverages, and any specialty catering you want on board. We work with preferred provisioning partners and can arrange everything from a simple spread to a full private chef experience. Water toys, tender transfers, and any shore excursions are quoted separately based on what you want. When we give you a number, we tell you exactly what it covers. For international and offshore charters, pricing is structured on an Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) basis, standard practice across the global superyacht industry. The APA is typically 25 to 35 percent of the base charter fee, held in advance and used to cover all running expenses during the voyage — fuel, provisioning, port and marina fees, customs clearance, crew gratuity, and any onshore arrangements. At the conclusion of the charter, your captain provides a full itemized accounting of all expenditures. Any unused portion of the APA is returned to you. This structure ensures complete transparency and gives the crew the operational resources to deliver the experience without interruption.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season (May–October), we recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance for standard charters and 3–6 months in advance for superyacht charters. We accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible.
Can you arrange a charter to Catalina Island?
Catalina Island is one of our signature destinations. The voyage takes approximately 2–3 hours each way, and we coordinate anchorage, island activities, dining reservations, and return timing seamlessly.
Do you offer yacht charters outside of Southern California?
Yes. Through our global superyacht network, we arrange charters in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific Islands, Southeast Asia, and virtually any cruising ground in the world.
